Energy Piles – thermal capacity
Energy Piles are concrete piles with built in geothermal pipes. Thus, the foundation of a building performs as structural and a heating/cooling supply element. By applying information of the pile arrangement, soil properties and thermal needs of the building, our in-house tool assesses the geothermal potential of the foundation.
This in-house tool provides information about:
- Thermal capacity of the energy pile foundation over time to supply the heating and cooling needs of a building.
- Ground loop temperature development over time resulted from the geothermal use.
